Francesca Bell is a freelance editor, writer, proofreader, and book coach, and the founder of Bell Literary Services. She works primarily on long-form manuscripts in development—including memoir, novels, dual-perspective narratives, and substantive nonfiction—helping clients shape early drafts and interview material into cohesive, well-structured manuscripts. While much of her recent work has focused on narrative projects, she remains open to a wide range of written materials across genres and formats.

Her editorial work also extends beyond traditional manuscripts. Francesca has applied the same structural precision to database organization and web-based content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and readability across platforms. This crossover between manuscript editing and digital environments has given her a strong understanding of what reads well in any written context—whether on a website, within a content system, or on the page of a book.

Many of her projects are private or confidential and cannot be publicly displayed; however, she is happy to provide representative sample edits that reflect the depth and clarity of her approach. Through Bell Literary Services, she collaborates with a trusted network of proofreaders, formatters, designers, and specialized editors to coordinate expanded support when projects require it.

“My passion is fostering connection and understanding through language.”
